This semi-abstract explorative piece is exploring the interplay of the hues orange and purple. In color theory, orange is associated with energy, movement and creativity, while as secondary complement purple brings to mind wealth and luxury.
As I created this piece, I let myself move completely freely across the canvas, with no goal except to see what the colors demanded of themselves. An exciting botanical dance occurred, held together with the tension of the opposing yet complementing colors, orange and purple.
